Oktoberfest is the world’s largest beer festival and traveling funfair. The 16 to 18 day festival runs from mid or late September to the first weekend in October. The festival is annually celebrated in Munich, Germany. Other countries host their own version of the festival all through the period. Oktoberfest in Nairobi may not be as popular as it is in the rest of the world but it’s catching on.
Last year we had several bars and pubs hosting their own Oktoberfest in Nairobi. This year is no different. Several festivals have been held in the city over the past two weeks. If you missed out on the Oktoberfest festivities, worry not. The German Business Association are hosting their very own Oktoberfest tonight at The Alchemist. The event starts at 7 pm to 2 am. The entrance will be Ksh 1,500 which can be paid at the door.
“The Dirndl Jäger, a German band will entertain you as you enjoy your drinks served by German Sausages, Upendo Pizza and the Alchemist Bar. The night’s menu will include traditional German meals like Pretzels, Sausages, Nurnberger Bratwuerstchen and Schnitzel as well as Pizza.

Sirville Brewery & Lounge
Get into the festivities of Oktoberfest in Nairobi at the Sirville Brewery & Lounge. The joint is designed to give you the experience of craft beer freshly brewed at source. They serve a variety of delicious meals all washed down with your favorite beer or drink of choice. They are located on the 1st Floor Galleria Mall.
Pablos at the Best Western have offers on beer all day everyday from 1st to 31st October in celebration of Oktoberfest.
The Curragh Irish Pub and Bistro
