For this post, we thought we’d thrill the thrill seeker in you by suggesting some awesome adrenaline inducing activities in and around Nairobi. We are taking activities that will not only have you breaking a sweat but have your heart racing.
Dose up on some courage folks, it’s about to get scary exciting!!
Not only is this a fun activity to pass the time, it’s also a workout activity. It’s also a great activity to enjoy with a group of friends. You can even make a competition out of it. For indoor rock climbing in Nairobi, you can check out Climb BlueSky. It’s located in Parklands at the Diamond Plaza. Yu don’t have to be a pro either. The facility caters to beginners and advanced climbers. For those looking for the thrill of outdoor rock climbing Climb BlueSky organizes rock climbing events at the Hells Gate National Park. Check out their Facebook page for more details.
Nothing like trying to escape a room by solving mysteries and clues within a time limit to get your heart racing right? You and your family or friends should definitely check out Freeing Kenya for this unique and interactive activity. It could also be an opportunity to test just how well you work together 🙂
This should be fun, and not just because it is hilarious seeing your friends fall down on their faces several times. Break a sweat, get your heart racing at the Panari Ice Skating Rink which is open all week. For those who have never tried it, it’s a chance to try out something new and who knows, you may find yourself a new hobby. Charges are inclusive of skates though one is required to carry his own warm clothing and other protective gear including gloves and helmets if needed.
Among the adrenaline inducing activities that also happens to be fun is zip lining. Kisames Giraffe Camp , just behind the Ngong hills is the place to be if you fancy this activity. The facility has low, medium and high ropes obstacle programs and 30 feet high zip lines. It’s usually ideal for a large group so get your friend together and do it! Let us know what you think when you go or if you’ve ever been there. Review the activity on our website.
Biking isn’t just great exercise, it is so much fun. You and your friends can bike the Karura Forest trail or if you are up for the challenge you could go biking at Ngong Hills. Enjoy a picnic afterwards as you take in some of the best views in Nairobi.
Paint Ball Fury
This outdoor activity is also our suggestion for what to do in Nairobi to get that adrenaline going. If you are up for some running around and trying to get one up on your friends, this is perfect. Nothing like an hour or two of shooting each other (using paint balls obviously) to bring you closer together as friends or family. Sounds like fun right?
Do you crave speed? Adrenaline inducing, heart racing kind of speed? Then you should have probably been a race car driver. Lol. But if you fancy speed, (in a safe environment) we want you to try go karting. On Carnivore Road, there’s a go karting track and they provide you with a helmet, a racing suit and most importantly, a full driver’s briefing to get you going – fast! You can enjoy a great food and drink at their Sports Bar and Restaurant in between or after you race.
Below are some more activities for the adrenaline junkie. They are not in Nairobi so for those who don’t mind the distance out of town here you go.
Rapids Camp offers you an unforgettable bungee jumping experience at Sagana. Savage Wilderness Safaris also offers bungee jumping at Tana River.
Most skydiving activities happen at Diani Beach in South Coast. Skydive Diani is a company popularly known to arrange skydiving.
